You can accomplish things as a team
by Sarah
Teamwork is not easy when you just stand there and don’t communicate. I know a lot of people who wants to do it by their self or with a group of three or four. Once you know how to work with teamwork or communicate with other people, you are pretty successful. At Eco Week three people separated us in 3 groups, in the group I went in he split us in half.
“I am going to give a tent pole to each group. You have to get the pole to the ground with your two fingers only. No hooking. If your fingers come off the pole, you have to start over,” Alex announced. Right there all students went over to their most trustful friend. There most bestest best friend. It seems that it would surprise you, but it shouldn’t we were the most successful.
“ Were probably just successful because we have the best teacher helping us,” A short girl with cute pigtails said.
“ Alright, I'll go check on the other group. Surprisingly, we did it. Maybe it’s not the teacher I thought in my head. We did a couple more times.
“ Let’s do it without looking at our hands also known as doing it backwards. We were also were pretty successful on that. Obviously are fingers came off at a point. Sometimes it was Mrs. Eberle fingers who came off.
After a couple times, mrs. Eberle came to check on us and she was impressed of what we could do, we tried with one finger. What is it? I asked myself in my head. We could do the impossible when it comes to putting tent poles on the ground with two fingers.
I was so sad that I started to cry a little inside that I couldn’t do the ropes course. Teamwork is one of the hardest things. But inside I could feel that I was feeling the happiest smile. Like the smile the first times really rains. “ I turned to my friend Brooklyn, “ What fun was this,” I pointed out. I can’t wait for the Hike tomorrow. I said the eagerly. Like snow on a mountain just waiting for a group of 5th graders to go on.
