My First Hike…

That was a long first hike at ECO Week as I sat on my bed. How about I tell you about my first hike at eco week.

It all started when I was so excited that I woke up early and started to pack up for my first hike. A little while later I started to wake up and as I got up I looked over to see if Cav was awake and he was so we got up and of our beds and started to pack up. Once me and Cav were packed up the teachers then woke Will and Jacob up. Then they got packed up and soon we were packed up and ready. then the teachers sent us on our way toward our fun day hiking I had a burst of excitement.

A little while later we started our hike at the beginning I had a lot of energy. But a little later I started to lose it and at one point my battery was completely drained of power. And if it wasn't for that break I would have made it to the top of the hike. So, things went on like normal hike break hike break. Then I started to notice that my feet started to get wet and very uncomfortable. Things were not going smooth for the next couple of mils. Until we came to a break and I was relieved and so happy and then I said to myself “I did it” but then someone said out of the crowd “This is our halfway break” Then I got up and started to move knowing that my journey up was just beginning. Of what was yet to come…

I had just started the last section of my hike the last thing standing in the way of victory and failure. But I must admit I was out of breath and tired. I was starting to think that I would not make it as I trudged through the snow the next mile was terrible I feel into the snow twice and snow was falling of trees and onto my head. But the mile after that seemed to be a little better It did not have as much snow and it wasn't that steep. As I was thinking that the hike would never end out of the blue someone said, “wear hear” the whole team immediately found spots to sit down and started to eat their lunch,. After lunch we started to go down the mountain.

And after the long way down I got back to my dorm. I said to my roommate,  “Excuse me. I need to take a nice warm shower. “
